SB 3016  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR MOLOKAI 
        GENERAL HOSPITAL                           HHS, WAM
        Appropriates $600,000 for operating costs of Molokai
        General Hospital.

SB 2973  RELATING TO MENTAL HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE  HHS, CPN
        Expands the definition of serious mental illness;
        deletes exemption of businesses with 25 or fewer
        employees; amends the activities of the task force.

SB 2974  RELATING TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE INSURANCE 
        BENEFITS                                   HHS, CPN
        Makes substance abuse treatment benefits the same as
        other illnesses covered by insurance.

SB 3053  RELATING TO INSURANCE                      HHS, CPN
        Removes the certification requirements for physicians
        providing substance abuse treatment for insurance
        coverage purposes.

SB 2579  RELATING TO HOUSING                        HHS, WAM
        Creates the special needs housing special fund to
        provide supportive housing for persons with mental
        illness or substance abuse addictions. 

SB 2519  RELATING TO ANATOMICAL GIFTS               HHS, WAM
        Authorizes the State to require an anatomical gift
        unless objected for certain reasons within 24 hours of
        death; requires recipient to pay reasonable costs of
        donor's funeral.

SB 2450  RELATING TO BODY PIERCING                  HHS, JDC
        Requires parental consent for ear and body piercing;
        ear and body piercers must inform clients of need for
        consent.


 


SB 2453  RELATING TO TATTOOS                        HHS, JDC
        Parental consent reuired for tattoos; tattoo artists
        must inform all clients of need for consent. 

SB 2462  RELATING TO IMMUNIZATIONS                  HHS, WAM
        Requires immunizing children against hepatitis A to
        enter schools; DOH may require immunizations for all.

SB 2656  MAING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CONFERENCE 
        IN THE YEAR ZERO                           HHS, WAM
        Appropriaites $250,000 for the Conference in the Year
        Zero.

SB 2247  REALTING TO FERAL ANIMALS                  HHS, WAM
        Establishes a temporary managed cat colony task force
        to address health conserns related to the feral cat
        population.

SB 3185  RELATING TO FAMILIES                       HHS, JDC
        Provides reimbursement for a husband of a marraige for
        any child of the marraige conceived by another man.

testimony with two holes at the top, to the committee clerk, Room
228, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may
also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate
Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 (toll free for neighbor
islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the
date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies
needed for submittal.

interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
